Its location on the banks of the Trent-Severn Waterway means that you can arrive in Campbellford by land or water. An ideal spot for anglers interested in bass, pickerel and trout, the community is part of a rich agricultural region that boasts award-winning maple sugar producers, exotic bison and emu farms and a cheese factory.
Tee off at one of three golf courses and complete your outdoor experience with a visit to Ranney and Healey Falls, Ferris Provincial Park or the Seymour Conservation Area.
And for a great photo opportunity, stop by Old Mill Park and have your picture taken beside a giant lit replica of the $2 coin, erected in honour of Brent Townsend the designer of the coin and a Campbellford artist.
Campbellford has a central location midway between Toronto East/West and Ottawa as well as between Peterborough and Bellville North/South. Highway 30 connects Campbellford to Highway 401 and Highway 7.

Old Mill Park, on the Trent River at the intersection of Grand Road and Bridge Street in downtown Campbellford, offers ship-to-shore mooring, electricity, and shower facilities. For information about events staged in the park call 705-653-1551. For bookings, call 705-653-1900.
 
Playground equipment areas: Hillside Park at the corner of Booth and Bridge Streets; Kennedy Park on Saskatoon Avenue; and Ferris Provincial Park (upper boat launch area).
 
The Rotary Trail, a three-kilometre walking trail around the Trent Canal in Campbellford, was conceived by Rotarian Charlie Thompson, with construction under the supervision of Rotarian Kal Ojamae. The trail is used by a large number of people on a daily basis all year round. The maintenance and enhancement of the Trail is an ongoing project of the Campbellford Rotary Club, with members providing the volunteer labour. The Rotary Trail starts on Grand Road and ends at the Lawn Bowling Club, with the scenic Trent Canal as a focal point. Several benches are located along the trail at strategic viewing points. New this year is the suspension bridge over the Ranney Gorge, which connects the trail to Ferris Provincial Park.

Friends of the Trent-Severn Waterway is a group of volunteers dedicated to the protection and interpretation of the natural, historical, cultural and recreational resources of the waterway. Annually the Friends needs individuals and groups committed to the challenge of insuring a vibrant future for the Trent-Severn.
